Web 1.0:

Web 1.0 could be considered the "read-only web." In other words, the early web allowed us to search for information and read it. There was very little user contribution in the website. However this is what the website owner wanted at that particular time. A website was used as an advertisement for a organization.

Web 2.0:

Web 2.0 is excepted as the "read-write" web.The newly-introduced ability to contribute content and interact with other web users has dramatically changed the landscape of the web in a short time. Website such as the youtube and metacafe are examples of Web 2.0 application which allows user interaction.

Web 3.0

Web 3.0 allows users not only to read and write but also to interact with each other. Any application that has computer to computer interaction is considered using a web 3.0. Some also consider web 3.0 as the modification or development of web 2.0.

There is a large impact on E-commerce and E-business caused by the evolution of web 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0. The main impact is the way organization provide details and allow customers to use or participate in their website. A website used for E-commerce 10 years ago only had a static page to show the people what a company had to provide. But nowadays website are developed to provide features such as customer customization of product, online payment and others which was not applicable in web 1.0. Basically the evolution change they way organization market themselves using a website. There are many positive impact from the evolution which saves time, cost, and man-power for many organizations and people. New management system and inventory system use the new web technologies to provide a better service to ease the workload by interconnecting with staff and suppliers.
